I cannot discern your tone nor actual question from your words.
You are impressed with the WAP/EDGE access? Or not? I am confused! Some of my confusion stems from the fact that EDGE is a bit slowish, in my opinion, compared to some of the newer tech (HSDPA), so I can't tell if you're happy that it has EDGE at all, or making fun of the lack of newer tech.
Disallowing unsigned code is a HUGE deal for me. I want to be able to download whatever I want and use it. There's a lot of smaller developers that put out good applications.
yeah, I was agreeing that it was awesome, till they dropped the ball on some odd things.
I think it was Cingular that pushed the no unsigned code thing...though it makes Apple's support costs lower too, but the use of EDGE as opposed to ANYTHING less than 5 years old....seems downright dumb. As someone indicated, that might have been their only clear upgrade path to hold onto.
